CUSHION AND FABRIC
Our cushions usually coming with fabric covers, designed to hold up well in outside weather as they are durable, stain resistant, mould and mildew resistant. However, we recommend to keep cushions dry, vacuum regularly and to avoid leaving in direct sunlight for long periods of item to ensure longevity of your furniture.
DEEP CLEANING
Cover the ground under your work area before starting. Use first Golden Care Fabric & Upholstery Cleaner or Golden Care Multi Surface Outdoor Furniture Cleaner to remove all stains. Test for colourfastness in an inconspicuous area before using. Moisten the fabric to be treated thoroughly with water beforehand (Small surfaces by dipping into water, larger surfaces using a sponge or plant spray). Spray the Cleaner on the wet, stained area. The time the cleaner needs to take effect depends on the extent of staining and may vary from 3 to 10 minutes. Remove dirt and grease with a sponge or a soft scrubbing pad. Afterwards, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow for air dry. If the stains have not been completely removed, the treatment can be repeated, leaving the cleaner a longer penetration time. Afterwards use Fabric Protector to make the treated fabric water repellent again. Wipe down accidental spills immediately and do not leave them on the surface to prevent stains/permanent marking. Do not bleach or dry clean and hand wash only.
MAINTENANCE
We recommend to regularly brush off any loose dirt and dust when dry, and rinse as needed. Always wipe spills and stains immediately with warm soapy water and a wet cloth as liquids such as sunscreen and red wine may cause discolouration and stain marks. We also recommend taking advantage of Golden Care Fabric & Upholstery Protector or extended surface warranty to give water-repellent finish and extra protection to your investment. It is recommended that you repeat the treatment twice a year to maintain the new look for a long time and makes the fabric repellent to dirt, water and moisture. Although our fabrics are designed for outdoor use, however it is recommended to keep them indoor or well covered with polyester furniture covers with PVC lining when they are not in-use to extend its life.
